The Club was founded in 1939 and has continued to thrive.

From April to September our members enjoy lawn bowls played at our pavilion on the high street.  During the Winter season October to March we play on short mats indoors, at the village hall.

The club plays throughout the year in various league competitions.   We also organise friendly matches both home and away which are always good fun and give newer members the chance to improve their skills in a relaxed and friendly environment.

During the summer season we have  Roll ups on Friday and Sunday afternoons  between  2pm and 4pm. Winter months are Wednesday evenings 7pm till 9pm and Sunday afternoons 2pm till 4pm. The Roll Ups are more of a social gathering for members to practice and improve their game while picking up tips from other players .

Throughout the year we hold fund raising events, which are always good fun for everyone and show the club members at their best supporting the club and working together.  

The club has a great mix of people of all ages, who make it a fun and enjoyable club to be part of.  We welcome and encourage anyone who would like to give bowls a try.  Come and join us for a free trial at any of the practice sessions.   Bowls can be provided, just bring a spare pair of flat shoes or trainers to avoid damaging the green.
